Today, the world is completely different from what it was just a few years ago. Companies are being forced to deal with major economic, environmental, and social challenges. After a period in which corporate social responsibility and sustainability were primarily seen as ways to improve external image, more and more companies are realizing that sustainability initiatives can drive profitability and generate new innovations.

It is this change that we at Mongreeney, a business publication, write about online through cases, analysis, and in-depth discussions.

We report on successful companies that have incorporated sustainability into their operations, innovative entrepreneurs dedicated to solving social problems, and interesting initiatives that offer new perspectives.

Through real-world cases, we show what companies have done, how they put their initiatives into practice, and what results they achieved.

When we revisit historical initiatives, we check whether they are still active and look for the most recent results available. When no updated information is available, we clearly state the period to which the data and results presented refer.

Our work is to show, in practice, how companies can combine sustainability and profitability.

What do we believe in?

Mongreeney is a politically and commercially independent publication that, by presenting concrete examples of companies and initiatives based on environmental and social responsibility, seeks to inspire companies and organizations to adopt more sustainable and profitable business practices.

  • We believe that companies and organizations can take greater responsibility for the impact they have on society and the environment, and that doing so can also be good business.

  • We believe that companies and organizations should dare to communicate what they do for society without fearing criticism that they are doing it only for money. It is better to be open and honest and willing to engage in dialogue with critics than to remain silent and leave their criticism unanswered.

  • We believe that a company’s or organization’s social responsibility should be aligned with its business objectives and have a logical connection to them. If you run a bookstore, it makes sense to get involved in initiatives that help people learn to read and appreciate books; if you run a bank, it is equally natural to help customers become better informed about personal finance or to assist entrepreneurs with advice on finance and funding when starting a business.

At Mongreeney, we believe that the best way to inspire change is to show what works in practice. By sharing concrete examples from companies around the world, we want to make it easier for businesses to learn from one another and turn environmental and social responsibility into practical actions that create value for both business and society.
